Social science research on issues related to reproduction
Advancing New Standards in Reproductive Health (ANSIRH) is a collaborative research group at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF)’s Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health. ANSIRH’s stated mission is to “conduct rigorous, innovative social science research on complex and controversial issues related to reproduction.” Their research focuses on a range of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) -related topics including abortion, contraception, culture and policy, both in the U.S. and internationally.
The ANSIRH website includes extensive citations from books, journal articles, and other publications authored by ANSIRH-affiliated faculty. Many of these can be downloaded from the website in their entirety free of charge. The site also features infographics, issue briefs, training materials and videos that may be useful for nurse–educators, -students, -policy makers and -researchers in their efforts to advance SRH and abortion-related clinical practice, policies and research.
